We always offer a fine texture as standard. Textured powder-coated surfaces are robust against mechanical damage, dirt-repellent, and are among the current trends. The fine texture has a slightly matte finish. We can also offer a glossy finish upon request. Simply add a short note to your shopping cart or send us an email with your order.

In any case, you will receive an order confirmation from us, summarizing the details of your order. You can still make changes to your order immediately after receiving the order confirmation.
The width of the garden gate refers to the clear opening between the posts (see technical drawing in the product photos).

Example calculation for a garden gate in existing masonry

You measure a clear span of 1000 mm between your masonry columns. This clear span (1000 mm) is the order dimension. Your gate system measures 1000 mm – gate leaf including strike plate and hinges.

Example calculation for a garden gate with 100x100 mm gate posts

If you select a gate width of 1000 mm, the total width including two 100x100 mm gate posts is 1200 mm. See the technical drawing in the product photos.
Select the desired height for your garden gate. Then enter the "exact height". The exact height is the height of the garden gate itself – from the bottom edge of the frame to the top edge.

Please allow for a ground clearance of approximately 60 mm (standard 40-80 mm). If you select a gate height of H = 1800 mm, the garden gate will have a total height of approximately 1860 mm (1800 mm gate height + 60 mm ground clearance).

For posts intended for setting in concrete, you determine the ground clearance by the setting depth of the gate posts. For gate posts intended for surface mounting (with base plates), the standard ground clearance is 60 mm. We can adjust the ground clearance upon request after you place your order (please let us know).

After receiving your order, you will receive a drawing that can be adjusted before the order is accepted.
In any case, we will contact you after your purchase to confirm the opening direction (via email or phone if you prefer). The opening direction will then be confirmed in a separate email. Alternatively, you can inform us of the opening direction for your garden gate by email or in the shopping cart notes.

The following opening directions are possible:

A1: The gate opens inwards. Viewed from the outside, the hinges are on the right.

A2: The gate opens inwards. Viewed from the outside, the hinges are on the left.

B1: The gate opens outwards. Viewed from the outside, the hinges are on the right.

The price of the LAUSANNE smart garden gate includes a 40 mm (+/- 15 mm) gap between the slats. The gate panels are 100% opaque, providing privacy and noise reduction. The panels can be loosened slightly upon request to adjust the appearance of the gate slats.

After receiving your order, you will receive a customized drawing from us – individual changes are possible.

Should you require a custom spacing between the profiles, simply enter a "shopping cart note" as a guide to your order in your "shopping cart summary" (before clicking "checkout"). We will process the note after receiving your order.
